About Gidoka
Gidoka is a free library of guides to kaizen and continuous improvement. We explain the core ideas (PDCA, going to see, root-cause thinking), walk through practical lean tools for small teams, and show how small, steady improvements work in everyday life. There are currently 18 articles across 3 topics, plus a glossary of 54 terms.
Gidoka is published by Digital Nebraska, a company that builds websites and digital tools for local and Midwest businesses.
How we write our articles
- Facts — definitions, dates, versions, platform rules and who created which framework — are checked against primary or authoritative sources such as the Lean Enterprise Institute, The W. Edwards Deming Institute, Toyota's own publications, NIST's Manufacturing Extension Partnership, AHRQ and peer-reviewed research. They’re listed and linked at the end of each article.
- Each article shows the date it was last reviewed, and we revisit articles as guidance changes.
- We don’t invent people, quotes, statistics or case studies. Examples are clearly labeled as hypothetical, and we don’t accept payment to mention a product or company.
